The Farpoint Opening Ceremonies are not to be missed! This is your first chance to see our celebrity guests, as well as many of our author and new media guests who will be in attendance. We’ll be auctioning off a couple of very cool items for our charities, the Electronic Frontier Foundation and the Julien Fleming Fund, and we’ll present the Volker-McChesney award to this year’s Fan Guest of Honor. Gentleman Jim will keep up the mood with live music, and then Prometheus Radio Theatre will take the stage, with our musical guests Jonah Knight, Insane Ian and the Boogie Knights, plus our special guest star Kate Vernon! There’s no additional charge to attend. We will be offering a light buffet, including salads, carving stations, desserts and a macaroni bar, for the very reasonable price of $25; but you don’t have to buy a meal ticket to come and join us!
